Korean Immigrant Dance in America
“Korean Immigrant Dance in America” is a traditional Korean dance with live music performed by first-generation Korean immigrant artists of New York. These artists continue to pass on their music and dance in their community. Ever since immigrating to America in the 1970s and 1980s, they have preserved their authentic Korean musical groove and dance in the US. Audiences can enjoy the sophisticated beauty of traditional Korean performing arts, which have been passed down for centuries. It is a great opportunity to view the traditions and new works of Korean senior master artists. It is an enjoyable family-friendly dance performance for all Brooklyn communities. Performances range from Korean court music to ritual dance. The featured artists are Chi-Chung Kim, Jung Bae Park, Myeong Soon Choi, and Vong Pak.
