2:30pm - Opening Remarks and Screening of STYLE, Pathways in Cultural Entrepreneurship
In episodes of Brooklyn Arts Council’s four-part documentary web series, STYLE, Brooklyn visionaries – Korina Emmerich of Emme Studios, Hekima Hapa of Black Girls Sew, Dyuna Morgan independent designer with Levi’s, and Jessica Schreiber founder of FabScrap – share their journeys in Fashion entrepreneurship. Their stories inspire beauty and bravery while offering blueprints for interrupting inequity with business models for the future.

Artists, Curriculum specialist, and Program Director of Dreamyard Austin Greene, delivers a training for teaching artists interested in developing their skills in abolitionist pedagogy to created social justice curriculums that empower and inspire students and teachers alike.
6:15pm - THRIVE TALK: Life after BAC – Meet the Grantmaker
Designed to help artists see over the fence and to larger grants, this round robin session features representatives from Open Society Foundations, New York Community Trust, and Howard Gilman Foundation, connecting directly with artists to share their pathways to philanthropy, the values and goals that drive their institution’s investments, and their perspective on what makes a winning proposal.
7:00pm - THRIVE TALK: Keynote Conversation featuring Imara Jones moderated by Desiree Gordon
Media activist and TransLash founder, Imara Jones discusses her creative drive, her impact strategy and how her practice of radical advocacy and authenticity has allowed her platform to Thrive while saving Trans Lives.
