Iviva Olenick's "Stitchcraft"
In-person embroidery circle for adults and kids 10+ accompanied with an adult. Intro to basic embroidery stitches and technique. We will meet in the Dooryard Garden in front of Old Stone House, where I am growing women's health plants in collaboration with Herbalist Danielle Moore and Director of Gardens, Sam Lewis. We will talk about the health histories of this plants, and segue into using embroidery to depict the flora around us while discussing a range of topics about the health of local ecosystems and women/people with wombs.
