"I know exactly what you mean"
I know exactly what you mean is a dance theater work diving into the roles storytelling and lying play in recovering cultural memory, establishing kinship amongst Black folks, and processing personal grief. As a continuation of this project, we will be teaming up with Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn to host a movement and discussion based workshop exploring the themes of the work.
On Tuesday, October 11th from 6-8pm join Ogemdi Ude, alongside collaborators Selah V. Hampton and Kadie Henderson. We will play with choreographic scores from I know exactly what you mean and host a conversation addressing our creative and idiosyncratic relationships to lying, fabrication, memory, and truth. The workshop is open to movers and thinkers of all levels!
