Drum it Down

Outstanding women drummers, including Edwina Tyler (African percussion), Women in Steel (steel pan) and The Legacy Circle (women's African diaspora drumming group) will hold an outdoor drum jam in front of the library followed by indoor demos and workshops. Girls, women, ladies, bring your drums and drum it down!

Drum it Down is part of Brooklyn Arts Council's Half the Sky Festival: Brooklyn Women in Traditional Performance, an unprecedented series of concerts, performances, workshops and symposia highlighting Brooklyn women performing artists, especially those working in traditional art forms.
