This lively panel, moderated by Dr. Angela Fatou Gittens, Dance Historian, features leading members of Brooklyn's dance community, including Baba Chuck Davis, Sewaa Codrington, Alex Smith, Jr., Michael Manswell, Linda Madueme of MAWU and others, discussing the influence of African dance styles on Brooklyn dancers and choreographers. Panelists will also give brief demonstrations of African dance techniques as they are remade in Brooklyn.
