Arts in Education
Our Arts in Education (AIE) programs foster creativity and artistic expression for K–12 students, their supporters, and other community members through a broad range of disciplines that represent Brooklyn's diversity and excellence in dance, digital media, theater, visual, and literary arts.
IN-SCHOOL RESIDENCIES
We offer a wide range of sequential arts residencies for students, teachers, parents, and community members in digital, literary, performing, and visual arts. The design and content for each program is developed in collaboration with our partners, and may range in duration from 8-25 weeks.
CREATIVE AGING
Our creative aging programs provide opportunities for seniors to actively express themselves creatively, socialize with their peers while learning new skills, engage in cultural performances, and master techniques in a variety of arts disciplines.
GLOBAL RHYTHMS
Global Rhythms deepens students’ cultural understanding through the exploration of diverse music and dance traditions, connecting directly with New York State Learning Standards. The Global Rhythms program consists of cultural journeys, a performance coupled with a pre-performance and a post-performance workshop led by BAC Performing Artists.
PERFORMANCES
BAC Arts in Education performances inspire the imagination in audiences of all ages, share a range of cultures and traditions from around the world, explore a colorful spectrum of performing arts disciplines, and engage audience members in interactive learning experiences.
Opportunities for Teaching Artists
We offer teaching opportunities in the form of NYC classroom engagements, parent engagement workshops, professional development sessions, and demonstrations.
