Brooklyn Maqam Cultural Walking Tours

On Saturday, May 10th from 12 - 3pm, BAC Folk Arts will tour Atlantic Avenue, including stops at Rashid’s Music, the oldest Arab music store in New York, and we'll sample delicacies at Sahadi’s, Damascus Bakery, and Malko Karkannian. This tour emphasizes food as the most publicly available remnant of Arab culture in Brooklyn Heights. We also tour 5th Avenue, Bay Ridge on Saturday, May 17. There will be plenty of time to explore, learn, eat, and shop. Book your space now! Learn more. Photo by Tom Rossotti.
