Grants
BAC Grants strive to support local artists and small arts organizations whose work enhances the cultural climate of our borough, city, state, and nation. These awards encourage professional development, community growth, and fellowship among artists.
Brooklyn Arts Fund
Brooklyn Arts Fund cultivates artists, arts organizations, and audiences through specific and engaging arts projects.
Local Arts Support
Designed with nonprofit organizations and artist-nonprofit partnerships in mind, Local Arts Support helps develop high-quality local arts projects and programs that focus on community engagement.
CREATIVE EQUATIONS FUND
An investment strategy dedicated to arts for social justice, supporting hyper-local, community-engaged artists, arts organizations, cultural entrepreneurs, and researchers who have dedicated their creativity to solving social problems.
Social innovation fellowship
The Social Innovation Fellowship is our new professional development program for creatives and cultural entrepreneurs. Fellows receive coaching, training, technical assistance, and additional funding while critiquing and supporting each other to build their individual and collective capacity for transformative change and abundance.
Charlene Victor and Ella J. Weiss Cultural Entrepreneur Fund
Honoring the legacy of Brooklyn Arts Council’s founder, Charlene Victor, and former president, Ella J. Weiss, the Cultural Entrepreneur Fund affords two woman-identifying Brooklyn artists with funds to pursue professional development opportunities.
BECOME A GRANT PANELIST
Want to become involved with Brooklyn Arts Council's grantmaking efforts? BAC uses a panel selection process to review proposals and determine awards. Since we give grants to all kinds of artists from all over the borough, we need panelists from all Brooklyn communities! We welcome you to apply to become a panelist for our upcoming grants cycle.
Brooklyn Arts Awards
Brooklyn Arts Awards is the annual celebration of our Grantees, Awardees, and Teaching Artists. With speeches from funders and other industry stakeholders as well as electrifying performances, art activations, and a dance party, this event brings Brooklyn creatives together for a night of inspiration, networking, and entertainment.
