The Abolitionist Museum hosts an annual Juneteenth Celebration, recognizing the June 19th Emancipation Proclamation of 1863, which gave African-American slaves their freedom. The evening of celebration at this historic site, where abolitionists once lived and hid African-Americans, features Shawn Lee's spiritual healing performance; Indoda Entsha, West African drumming group directed by E. Preston Riddick; and Michael Hooper of Roots Revisited. Great food, too! $10 (includes food). Purchase tickets at door.
