The New Black Fest

The New Black Fest will kick off October 9 and run through October 17 in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The festival aims to celebrate, advocate and showcase diverse and provocative work by Black theater artists from throughout the Diaspora. Among the highlights is a program entitled "The New Black Music" to be seen at BRIC Arts | Media | Bklyn in Brooklyn, on Friday, October 15 at 8pm. Passing Strange co-stars Eisa Davis and Colman Domingo will both perform. Anika Noni Rose and Jeremy Alan Richards. There will be readings of new plays by Rahda Blank, Cori Thomas and Kwame Kwei Armah.
